Enquire early. Sign off the platter list. We do the shopping, the cooking, the packing, the delivery, and the pick-up of trays after. You bring the guests.

05Common questions
Before you ask.
Ten questions we get every week. If yours is not here, ring Rumbi.
How far ahead do we need to book?
Two weeks for anything over twenty heads. One week for smaller platters. Rush jobs handled case by case, ring the shop and Rumbi will tell you if the kitchen has room.
Do you deliver, and where to?
Yes. Free delivery within a twenty-kilometre radius of the shop, which covers all of Harare and the immediate outskirts. Delivery to Nyanga, Vic Falls, or further afield is available for the braai weekend platter and priced by the trip.
Can you cater vegetarian, vegan, halaal, or dairy-free?
Vegetarian is baked in to every platter. Vegan, halaal, and dairy-free options handled on request. Tell us on the enquiry form and Rumbi will send a spec back the next morning.
Do you supply cutlery, plates, and glassware?
Paper napkins, wooden boards, and serving spoons come with every platter. Plates, forks and glassware can be added by arrangement.
What is the deposit?
50% on confirmation, balance on delivery. We can invoice a company directly with VAT if you need it. Cash, card, EcoCash, ZIPIT, all accepted.
Can you set up a live pizza pass at our venue?
Yes, for the Wedding Buffet and larger. We bring a mobile oven, two pizzaioli, and enough dough for the guest count. Setup is quoted with the rest of the order.
What happens if the guest count changes?
Give us 48 hours' notice for a change of more than 20%. Small variations we absorb. Guests turning up hungry we absorb with a smile.
Can we come and taste before booking?
Yes. Book a tasting for two through the shop, at cost, on any weekday afternoon. If the event confirms, the tasting is on us.
Do you cook halaal on-site?
Not by default. Our chicken supplier is a mixed operation. For halaal-specific events we source separately from a certified farm outside Chegutu, with 10 days' notice. The price is the same.
What about kids' allergies?
Ring us. We prep in a kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, and egg. We can do gluten-free bases with 48 hours' notice. Nut allergies handled with extra care, always tell us in writing.
